Triton typically returns eligible Canadian Criminal Record Checks in under 5 minutes. Some checks may take longer if additional information, verification, or review is required.
Triton protects personal information through security measures including role-based access controls, encryption, monitoring and audit logging, secure Canadian-hosted infrastructure, and documented privacy and information-security practices. Access to personal information is restricted according to role and legitimate business need.
Electronic Identity Verification, or E-IV, is an online method of confirming your identity without requiring physical identification and witness signatures. Triton’s E-IV process uses knowledge-based questions generated from information associated with your credit file. Successfully answering the questions confirms your identity so your application can proceed.
Triton supports multiple identity-verification methods, including electronic identity verification, photo-ID and facial verification, and in-person identity verification through Canada Post where applicable. The available process can depend on the check and verification requirements.
You may be asked to provide information including your full legal name, former or alternate names where applicable, date and place of birth, and residential address history. Additional identity verification may be required depending on the screening method and applicable requirements.
Triton works with police service partners across Canada to facilitate searches of the RCMP’s Canadian Police Information Centre (CPIC) criminal record database. A Canadian Criminal Record Check generally relates to records within Canadian systems and should not be considered a search of criminal history in other countries.
